So I see ya have a mermaid problem. Filthy she-devils, they are. I'm bettin' a few o' ye went missin' around the time their singin' started, too. Well, I hate to be bearin' bad news, but I be doin' just that. The sea wenches have carried off yer friends. They fall in love easily, ya see. But they have a nasty habit o' eatin' the humans they loves.

Tomorrow at dawn, I'll be takin' ya on a search for them. We'll try an' rescue the lasses.
