[Suruga is in the Merchant Quarter, at a bookstore. Not that it'd be obvious she was digging for porn, if you saw her, but she's trying to find something to remind her of home. Or see if this place is in the same universe at all.

She keeps turning the Steamgear on accidentally; normally she catches it before it does anything, but not this time!

It lands with a loud 'clunk' on the ground, and she picks it up, staring at it.]

Dammit, did I turn it on again? [Oh yup, it's recording, Suruga, better say something.

She grins, waving.]

So, even though this place is weirdly empty, there's actually a lot of cool stuff here! I'm... assuming it's ok to take the books, right? I'll bring them back. We could start a book club or something! [She laughs, trying to talk about something that could bring some more normalcy back into the place.]

Seriously though, there's a whole lot of stuff to explore around here. Tell me if any of you girls are up for it! Or the book club thing, you know, that's cool too. [She grins again and winks, turning the video off.]

Yeah, to be honest, I have no idea why I'm here. I'm absolute crap with machinery. But there's got to be some people here good at it, right? I mean, there's so many of us.

[She beams] Awesome! Let me know if you see anything interesting? We can talk to each other individually on this thing, right...? [She's not used to much more than a cellphone]

I think that's a great idea! From what I've seen, a lot of stuff is usable or probably can be fixed, if some of us just put a little effort into it.

If she's broken down, maybe she didn't have much choice. Like, she was just grabbing people at random and just hoping one of them could fix her.

[ Honestly, Stephanie's still just impressed that she could pull people here in the first place. She gives Kanbaru a smile in return, looking pleased by the approval. ]

I think so! I've been messing with it a bit and I'm pretty sure you can just use it like a cellphone, if you don't want to put something on the network.

Yeah, that's really the only thing that makes sense to me? I've met people who didn't even know what technology was, so... they're even more useless than me! [She laughs]
